The Department of Health and Human Services (“HHS”) Office of Inspector General (“OIG”) updated its public-facing Work Plan. The latest updates include a year-end review of opioid use in Medicare Part D.
HHS Drafts Patient Safety Report to Congress
As required by the Patient Safety and Quality Improvement Act, HHS, in consultation with the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, published a draft report to Congress addressing effective strategies and practices for improving patient safety and reducing medical errors. CMS Corrects Physician Fee Schedule Final Rule, Removes Certain Telehealth Services
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (“CMS”) published a notice correcting errors made in its Physician Fee Schedule final rule. Among other revisions, CMS removed four codes that were inadvertently included in the Telehealth Services List. For more information, click here.
