JOSHUA HODGES is an associate attorney in the law firm of Horty, Springer & Mattern, PC in Pittsburgh, Pennyslvania. He regularly advises clients on a broad range of health care topics, with an emphasis on compliance matters involving the Medicare program. In addition to his legal work, Joshua frequently serves as a speaker and consultant on topics relating to health law and medical staff issues. Joshua was recently named as a “Rising Star” and top-rated health care attorney by Super Lawyers, part of Thomson Reuters. In the past, he served as chair of the Health Law Section of the Allegheny County Bar Association.
Joshua earned his J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 2015, graduating magna cum laude. He is a member of the Order of the Coif and a recipient of the Esther F. Teplitz Memorial Award for Law and Medicine, which is given each year to the student with the highest grade in Health Law and Policy. He served as Articles and Topics Editor for the University of Pittsburgh Law Review and received the CALI award for his Civil Procedure class.
Prior to attending law school, Joshua was a William T. Young scholarship recipient at Transylvania University in Lexington, Kentucky. After his undergraduate studies, he obtained a master’s degree in philosophy from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland.
