FDA Updates Guidance on the Use of Ventilator Splitters

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has updated its letter to health care providers on the use of ventilator splitters during the COVID-19 pandemic.  The document describes certain risks associated with ventilator splitters that have been identified in recent medical literature and outlines a list of considerations for health care providers.  The letter is available here.

OIG Updates Work Plan

The Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (“OIG”) has recently added items to its online, public-facing work plan.  Among other things, the work plan includes announcements relating to COVID-19 vaccination programs and audits of Medicare Part B Laboratory Services during the COVID-19 pandemic.  For more information, click here.
